Workshop de promovare și valorificare a interacțiunii între cercetarea informatică universitară și mediul de afaceri


“Alexandru Ioan Cuza” University Iași and the Theoretical Computer Science Institute Iași, helped by the Technical Sciences Academy, organize the 4th edition of the “BringITon!” workshop.

Its purpose is to consolidate the partnerships between the university and the IT companies from Romania.

The organizers invite the young students, PhD candidates, researchers and teachers that work in the IT field, to develop new ideas and to work on innovative projects. The registration and the upload of the projects must be done until the 20th of November 2018 (on Easychair: 1 page for the general presentation and the description of the use cases). The final projects will be displayed in the workshop in a catalog. The poster must follow some guidelines (template). Each presentation from the catalog must be maximum two-page long. (template) The committee will select 20 posters that are supposed to make a great impact in the IT field. Finally, the authors of the selected projects will have the opportunity to pitch their projects (3-4 min). The committee will select then 5 projects and the authors of these projects will have the chance to work with entrepreneurs and other experts to develop their business ideas. After that, the best 3 ideas will be selected and will win the competition. The winners will be trained in a company in Iași for three months.

December 5th, 2018 – receiving feedback from the organizers

December 8th, 2018 – sending of the projects for the catalog

December 13th-14th, 2018 – BringITon! workshop


  • to promote new ideas for research;
  • to intitiate young researchers in the IT field;
  • to create new business conections between the university and the IT companies in Romania;
  • to invite speakers and experts from the universities and from IT companies;
  • to identify the gaps in the technological field;
  • to analyze the impact of the new technological discoveries in the business field.
